My Magazine continued

I have decided to have a simple shoot, with the model glamorous without looking over the top. I aim to create a sophisticated magazine like that of GQ, but have the conversational tone many lifestyle magazines such as Cosmopolitan have.

 Advertorial:advert for a game that will be released soon based on the programme. 
Banner: "Welcome to the future"
Brand identity: Vars (Afrikaans 'fresh', connotes magazine with its features of new films etc.)
Byline: Saskia Malhotra
Cover lines: "An interview with the writer who's combined the disturbing future with the familiar past."
Exclusive interview. first magazine to interview the writer. 

 Feature article/interview about a television show combining traditional elements from crime drama, with sic-fi and some elements of dystopian fantasy, creating the most amazing hybrid. 

 Audience: 
millennials interested in the top trends, newest television / film / art / culture. Into newest fashion trends, creative. 

 Contrast:
Black and white, the strong contrast will add to the visual interest to the page, making it appear more attractive to the readers eye in terms of a classic, more expensive taste. 
any colour will be different to keep the visual interest, making the front cover 'pop' out. Any colour will be bright and really stand out. 

 Repetition:
Maintain the black and white with minimal colour palette throughout to maintain the class theme. No more than 3 fonts will be used to unify the design and pull the magazine together, creating a sense of consistency. This will help ease the readers eyes and guide them across the page making my magazine an easy read. This organised layout will help appeal to audiences.

A major problem I experienced when editing was the length of my production. Only reaching around one minute, I decided to write an extra scene to fit in between my other two This scene features two detectives; Officer 1 (O1) and Officer 2 (O2), discussing the case. I tried to keep the narrative vague, so enigma's would be created to enhance the audience. I filmed the scene in my media classroom, selecting certain angles and shots to make the room look less like a classroom and more like an office. Officer 1 and Officer 2. O2 is O1’s boss. O1 answers directly to him. O2 also works tightly with their offices CI (so has a large amount authority). O2 is sarcastic and witty. Very intelligent. My name is Saskia Malhotra, I am 17 years old and am attending Hills Road Sixth Form College in Cambridge where I am studying Media, English Combined and Psychology. This blog is for my A-Level Media coursework. The task we have been set is to create an audio-visual sequence from a television programme and associated print materials to promote the same programme. My audio-visual sequence must be from one of the following points in the narrative/structure of my new television programme; a key turning point, a point of significant conflict or a resolution and be between 2:30 - 3:00 minutes long.
