Draft of Aims and Intentions

I will be producing ‘Glitch’, a programme to be broadcasted on ITV for a millennial audience as a late night show. As a crime drama, it will follow some common stylistic effect to appease to genre conventions, including; close-ups for tension and expression and wide/long shots to present vulnerability. Shallow focus is a technique used to draw attention to the characters, establishing a relationship between the character and their surroundings. I intended on using jump cuts in my editing process to exaggerated the heated, fast paced nature of the conversation in scene 2. My production will appeal to a range of audiences; it is a representation of our society of which the audience can relate. Both genders and a variety of races and ethnicities will feature in the casting of my actors, I aim to represent as many groups as I can. Editing Update

A major problem I experienced when editing was the length of my production. Only reaching around one minute, I decided to write an extra scene to fit in between my other two This scene features two detectives; Officer 1 (O1) and Officer 2 (O2), discussing the case. I tried to keep the narrative vague, so enigma's would be created to enhance the audience. I filmed the scene in my media classroom, selecting certain angles and shots to make the room look less like a classroom and more like an office. Officer 1 and Officer 2. O2 is O1’s boss. O1 answers directly to him. O2 also works tightly with their offices CI (so has a large amount authority). O2 is sarcastic and witty. Very intelligent. O1 is quick minded and one of the top detectives even though he is one of the youngest, so is respected but also controlled.   INT. Room with a desk in the centre, two chairs are behind the desk.
